Software Engineer, New Grad
Deliveroo · London (Hybrid) · £55,000 – £65,000
Honest Review
By Robert (Recent Uni Grad)
Deliveroo is a big food delivery company that got bought by DoorDash recently. They don't list the salary on the posting, which is annoying, so I had to estimate from Levels.fyi which suggests around £55-65k for new grads, which is decent for London. The tech stack is pretty good (Go, Ruby, Python, Scala) and the engineering team is large. The Glassdoor rating for engineers is 3.3/5 and a few reviews mention promotions are hard to come by. No visa sponsorship either.

Deliveroo is a food delivery company founded in 2013 and bought by DoorDash in late 2025 for £2.9bn. They work with around 182,000 restaurants across the UK and a few other countries, and have about 3,800 corporate staff.
About the Role
This is a grad software engineer role in their London office at Cannon Bridge House. You'd be writing code in Go, Ruby, Python, or Scala, working on the systems behind the delivery platform and responsible for your own features. It's hybrid, 3 days a week in the office.
What the Process Looks Like
